Hello Team and Clients
Please note that
there is an Email circulating requesting of clients to fill in a
form in order to reclaim a tax refund based on amended tax
return information that allegedly has been reviewed by the ATO.
So far it is unclear
who is doing it, however, the purpose could be very serious.
They request
personal details including TFN, DOB, and so forth, this is the
sort of information that organized crime like drug trafficking
and terrorism would need to penetrate our country.
Should you
receive such Emails please forward them immediately to this
address
reportemailfraud@ato.gov.au and
delete the rogue Email straight away as it may have cookies or
other spyware attached.
Under no
circumstances should you open these type of emails.
